In Memory

In memory of our World Heroes, I made a little tribute page located here

Please stop by and visit, if only to stoke any sort of memory of anyone you may have that was involved in War. Anytime is the right time and it is incredibly significant to acknowledge the atrocities and acts of humanity that War entails.

You're going to see a whole slew of new layouts being tested at the sandbox. Feel free to check it out, and with any luck I'll remember to make something available for viewers to drop me an email, hopefully as a suggestion or friendly advice, but I'll take anything as evidence that someone, somewhere out there, cares.

Here is my advocacy of all things Google

All hail google.

No seriously, before I go insane and absolutely destroy the people upstairs - it seriously sounds like they are all trying to karaoke at once, and it's terrible. The poor cat downstairs here is terrified to leave his crate.

Anyway, what was I talking about? Ahh yes, Google Chrome, do yourself a favor and download it. In case you happened to miss the link back there, there's the image link in two freakin locations on the same page.

I know that has to be some sort of major faux pas when it comes to Webpage Design.

However, if you do decide that maybe Chrome isn't what you want - for example, if you really want to make the best use of Streamtorret then I would highly advise you use Mozilla Firefox.

WARNING: ACTUAL USEFUL CONTENT BELOW

A lot of features that will be powering the coolness of this site right here will be built with JavaScript. Having a browser capable of taking advantage of said features is key to get the most out of this website (and the Internet in general). I understand it is hard to give up a piece of software you may be used to using, especially one that is so unbelievably useful as an Internet Browser, but I have to highly encourage anyone out there still using any of the highly inferior Internet Explorers to ditch their browser and move on. Hell, if you're viewing this website through Safari, then kudos to you, at least that is kept reasonably updated.

Upgrading web browsers is very important step forward if you, the user, wants to become more involved in the Evolution of the Internet. It can be quite quick and painless to do while costing nothing except a couple minutes of time.

As I've repeated multiple times above, I would personally recommend Google Chrome, but FireFox can definitely get the job done, but I will say that Chrome offers much smoother animations and the ever awesome webkit standard.

Happy Mother's Day Aka, Joanie and Ania!

A great little gift I was able to make with a lot of the same things on this site was a nice Mother's Day present for my Mother, my Grandmother, and my Godmother.

This entry is mostly to test out how all the styling is going to look for this particular column. I'm trying to see how well this whole format fits together. I made it myself, and anyone who wants to borrow anything from my code, feel free. I'm pretty sure all of it is accessible through viewing the source.

I may have to increase the overall width of this main column, or maybe just move onto the awesome 960.gs grid system. It's very impressive and makes keeping track of your layout a breeze. I have some troubles with it, but I always have troubles with the simplest of things. I also love the challenge of creating my very own layouts, which is rather peculiar given my prehistoric knowledge of user-friendly styles and interfaces.

I guess I have to figger it out sometime

Back to the subject of this site, some other tools that went into the construction of the various features are:

I'll probably throw a list of entries on the right so one can choose individual entries on the fly. Not sure how exactly I'll do it, but this Code Ignitor framework has some incredibly powerful features. The routing + uri segment features are very impressive and incredibly useful.

What a beautiful day

May 15th, 2010

It's a beautiful day here in Brooklyn, New York - and I can't wait to get out of here and go see a friend I haven't seen in years. A certain Mr. Alan Bohinksi. So everyone in the Tri-State area, as well as my homeland New England, enjoy the rest of this most excellent day.

While it isn't sunny in Krakow, I'll also send out a little ups to all of you enjoying your evening out there (hi momma!).

On a separate note: Goddamn I have to fix those header styles, they are goddamn fugly.

Just for your information:

You have been warned.

Hello there!

Well, I'm making my move back online. Hope you enjoy the weird shit I put up here in the beginnings while I get comfortable with this awesome PHP framework: CodeIgniter

And I can't forget the wealth of design knowledge I've learned in the months I've been working with Mr. Cheeseburgervacation.
